Training Week: September 7 - 13

Run Rabbit Run 100 = Success, 2nd Place
Sunday: 
  • AM Run: 8.65 Mi - 400' - 1:01 - Moderate: First time running at the Res. Did 15 min warm up, 5 miles at a moderate effort (6:00-6:10), then another 15 min cool down. Legs didn't feel smooth but the effort felt easy.
  • PM Core/Strength: Weight training workout.
Monday: 
  • AM Run: 7.07 Mi - 1,000' - 1:00 - Easy: 1,000 - Nice little cruise down Bluestem connector and around Shannahan. Saw a red/black/yellow snake. Legs felt alright, a few more easy days then RRR105.
  • PM Core/Strength: Core & hip stability workout.
  • PM Core/Strength: Weight training workout.
Tuesday: 
  • AM Run: 5:07 Mi - 800' - 0:44 - Easy: Standard Skunk loop. Legs are starting to feel strong and light. Groin is noticeable but hopefully it won't be too much of a hindrance come Friday.
Wednesday: 
  • PM Run: 4.38 Mi - 300' - 0:34 - Easy: Short little jaunt up in Steamboat to shake the legs out after the drive. One more little one tomorrow then 105 miles on Friday (into Saturday). RRR100 is here.
Thursday: 
  • PM Run: 3.28 Mi - 200' - 0:27 - Easy: One last short jog before RRR100 tomorrow... hopefully I'm ready.
Friday: 
  • AM Run: 107.00 Mi - 19,400' - 18:37 - RACE: Had an awesome day at the Run Rabbit Run 100! I'm not going to go in detail here, but you can check out my race report here.
Saturday:
  • Post RRR100 Recovery: Day Off #1
