Training Week: December 28 - January 3

Early morning uphill laps at the ski resort, my new favorite part of the day.
Sunday: 
  • Day Off...
Monday: 
  • AM Skimo: 4.63 Mi - 1,900' - 1:12 - Easy: Early morning resort lap to the Paradise lift with Jess before she took off back to Boulder. Felt good to get up al little higher, now time to start racking up the vert.  
  • PM Skate Ski: 5.57 Mi - 300' - 0:42 - Easy: Well, this made me feel out of shape.. skate skiing at 9,000 ft, its been a while. 
  • PM Core Workout: Yet again, trying to get into a core / strength routine. Did the workout at Nate's.
Tuesday: 
  • AM Skimo: 6.38 Mi - 3,400' - 1:22 - Moderate: Finally got in some steep climbing! First lap was up to the Silverqueen lift, second lap I stopped a few hundred vert above the Lady since it was 9:00 AM and I had to turn around. 
  • PM Skate Ski: 8.67 Mi - 500' - 0:59 - Easy: Magic meadows & Mikes with Nate. I've missed these trails, looking forward to lots of skate ski miles this winter!
Wednesday: 
  • AM Skimo: 5.58 Mi - 2,400' - 1:22 - Easy: NYE night skin up Mt CB with Tom, Miguel, & Derek. Toped out just above the Queen. A great way to end 2014 and bring in the new year!
Thursday: 
  • AM Skimo: 5.84 Mi - 3,100' - 1:17 - Easy: Up to the Queen solo, then ran into Mike Preston just before reaching the base. Tossed my skins back on and went up a bit more with him before the 9:00 AM turn around.
  • PM Skate Ski: 10.09 Mi - 400' - 1:10 - Easy: Night skate, a little snowy/wind blown on the trails but was good to get it in. Moved into my new place in CB today, stoked to get settled and into a routine!
Friday: 
  • Day Off...
Saturday: 
  • AM Skate Ski: 20.36 Mi - 900' - 2:12 - Long: Two laps out to the end of Mikes Mile, first one with Andy then the second solo. Should have taken some food, started to feel depleted around mile 17.
