Training Recap: September 22 - 28

Sunday:
  • Day Off 
Monday:
  • (AM) Run: 5.05 Mi - 500' - 0:45 - Easy: First "actual" run since RRR100 nearly 9 days ago. I felt alright for the first 3 miles, then my legs started to hurt. Quads are still tight, and my right knee is still sore a bit. Need to stretch / roll more. 
  • (PM) Road Bike: 9.12 Mi - 800' - 0:51 - Easy: With the snow in the high country, I wanted to get out and get some pictures. Rode up to Mt CB to the end of the pavement and back. Just and easy spin.
Tuesday:
  • (PM) Road Bike: 23.68 Mi - 800' - 1:44 - Easy: Headed out Valmont Rd, then after checking out some flood damage to the north, headed south, then back to Boulder via Baseline Rd. Really wishing I had a real road bike, my cross bike is like driving a bus... 
Wednesday:
  • (PM) Run: 5.05 Mi - 400' - 0:39 - Easy: BRC group run in Boulder. Ran with Trent for most of it. Legs still don't feel great but my knee is not as tight.
Thursday:
  • (PM) Run: 4.21 Mi - 200' - 0:35 - Easy: Another easy run with Trent Bobby. This time there was just a small group of 5 that met at BRC.  
Friday:
  • (PM) Run: 2.36 Mi - 200' - 0:25 - Easy: Super easy run in the snow in Vail. First snow run of the season. Watching UROC manana.  
Saturday:
  • Day Off:

Summary

The recovery continues. This week I did a little more than last, but still very minimal. My legs are still feeling a bit tired and tight. Hopefully next week I can get back into a more normal routine. They did feel pretty good while jogging around watching UROC on Saturday though. Wishing I could have race, but I know my legs would not have held up.
