Training Recap: September 15 - 21

Sunday:

Wednesday:
  • (PM) Road Bike: 10.19 Mi - 200' - 1:17 - Easy: I have been dealing with a muscle strain in my right oblique for the past couple days. Was finally able to get out and do something today. Legs are still trashed from RRR100.
Thursday:
  • (PM) Road Bike: 7.58 Mi - 500' - 0:38 - Easy: Short ride over to Skyland and hiked around the Upper Loop tr. Then rode back. Feeling slightly better, but still a long way to go to feel normal again.
Friday:
  • (PM) Run: 1.51 Mi - 300' - 0:17 - Easy: Well, its been a week since RRR100 and this was my first attempt at a run. It hurt... 
Saturday:
  • Day Off

Summary

This week was a definite recover week... A total of 17 minutes of running, each step still hurt. Otherwise recovery is going well. I should be back to training next week and am still debating if I will be at UROC next weekend. I am going to wait and see how I feel at the beginning of the week. On Saturday I did get a chance to summit a mountain and it felt awesome! After being immobilized for nearly a week, standing on top of a mountain at 12,000 ft was revitalizing.
