Training Recap: September 1 - 7

Sunday:
  • (AM) Run: 31.14 Mi - 5,300' - 5:12 - Long: A good long run with Pat. Just what I needed to get my focus back. From town: Tony's, Upper Upper, Bonus, 409, New Connector, 409.5, Canal, Whetstone Vista, and back via Tony's.
Monday:
  • (PM) Run: 6.12 Mi - 600' - 1:03 - Easy: The standard hour loop on the Lower. Hiked up to the Peak with my mom and sister earlier in the day.
Tuesday:
  • (PM) Run: 11.60 Mi - 2,700' - 2:08 - Easy: Drove over to Horse Ranch Park and ran the Dyke Trail while my mom and sister hiked. There was more climbing than I rememberd there being.
Wednesday:
  • (PM) Run: 4.56 Mi - 300' - 0:41 - Easy: Last minute decision to catch a ride to Denver with my Mom and then hitched to Boulder. Got there at dusk and ran the streets in the dark.
Thursday:
  • (AM) Run: 20.06 Mi - 3,100' - 3:03 - Long: I had planned on just doing 2.5 hrs, but by the time I ran back it was a bit longer. Started out with Trent Briney & Tyler McCandlas for the first hour, then ran the Dakota Ridge tr and over to Flagstaff mt. Summited then ran down.
Friday:
  • (AM) Run: 6.09 Mi - 800' - 1:00 - Easy: Drove up to Betasso with Jess. Did an easy lap plus a little add on in the middle to make an hour.
Saturday:
  • (PM) Run: 5.13 Mi - 900' - 1:39 - Jog/Hike: On the way back to CB, Jess & I stopped on the top of Houser Pass and did a little run/hike on the CDT. Didn't care about actually running, just wanted to get out and move a bit today. Race week is here!

Week Totals

Running: 83.49 Miles, 13,700' Vert, 14 Hrs, 46 Min
Road Biking: 8.51 Miles, 200' Vert, 0 Hrs, 47 Min

Summary

Overall I felt descent. Not fresh, but nothing really hurt that bad. Next week is RRR100, so I wanted to keep it relaxed and even though I did 83 miles I think I achieved that. Got to run with some friends in Boulder, so that was a plus. Time to focus now!
