Training Recap: October 6 - 12

Sunday:
  • (PM) Run: 12.03 Mi - 2,100' - 1:48 - Easy: Met Sean out on Tony's, ran up onto the resort to West Side / Columbine. My legs didn't feel great, left hamstring / glute was tight again. Stomach did not feel great either. Decided to jump on the bus and catch a ride back to town instead of running the final 4 miles. 
Monday:
  • (AM) Run: 4.13 Mi - 400' - 0:40 - Easy: Same deal as last night, left hamstring / glute tightness. Figured it would be a good idea just to run short today and let it rest.
  • (PM) Ski Conditioning: First night of ski conditioning. Fairly easy night, only a few lunges and squats. Also did some hip stability drills and some bands. 
Tuesday:
  • (PM) Run: 4.58 Mi - 700' - 0:41 - Easy: Lower portion of Green Lake trail for a bit before ski conditioning.
  • (PM) Ski Conditioning: I'll call this class "squat marathon". Definitely going to feel that in the morning..  
Wednesday:
  • (AM) Run: 5.48 Mi - 1,300' - 1:03 - Easy: No one showed up for the Izzy's Bagel Run this morning, so I headed out solo. Wasn't really feeling it, pretty sore from last nights class so I cut it short and ended up just hiking around in the woods for a while just to be outside. 
  • (PM) Run: 7.00 Mi - 600' - 1:00 - Easy: Felt a little better tonight. Tony's to Skyland to Deli tr loop. 
Thursday:
  • (AM) Run: 10.56 Mi - 1,500' - 1:31 - Easy: Lower Loop lap. Felt a bit low on energy, probably need to eat more. Towards the end I could feel my left hip/glute which is probably still from ski conditioning class. Hopefully I'll get the kinks worked out by next week. 
Friday:
  • Day Off..
Saturday:
  • (PM) Run: 22.39 Mi - 4,000' - 4:35 - Long: Met at Benn's house and ran 409.5 to Walrod to 409. Everything from shin deep snow to 5 lbs of mud on each shoe to elk hunters.
