Summary: Another race week here and gone, capped off with my first ultra-marathon victory! All week I was waiting for my legs to feel as good as they did in March the week of the Run Through Time trail marathon, but they never did. Even on race day I had doubts, but all turned out well and I am truly satisfied with my effort. I was close to the CR and within 15 minutes of an extra $200, but the $350 that I won was the most I have ever made in a race and will help cover the expenses of this 2 month trip I am currently on. (Repping VFuel all over CO & UT - Get a deal when you order online, details here!). Anyway, I stuck to the exact same race week training that I did before Salida and I guess it worked. Now, time to consume enormous amounts of food, and rest up over the next few days. The San Juan Solstice 50 is up next in just 6 weeks and I have a lot of mountains to climb between now and then to prepare.
