Summary: Overall this was another easy week (minus Saturday's long run). Instead of running a tempo on Tuesday, and long on Wednesday, I cut them short and ran very easy. Was feeling a lack of motivation for a few days, but thankfully that changed towards the weekend. It probably was a good thing, giving my body some extra rest going into the weekend. Any lingering fatigue from the Salida & the Grand Canyon is definitely gone. Saturday, I did my first 5 hr long run in the Butte of the season, and felt pretty good. My buddy Sean was in town from Boulder and he joined me for the first 20 miles of it which definitely made it much more enjoyable. Next week is the last week of the ski season, and my last week of work at the Nordic Center, so I am hoping to get in a solid week of training and be ready for some trails and warmer (desert) weather in the coming weeks. Also in the coming weeks, I plan on getting back in the routine of doing strength work, and with the warmer temps will probably get out on my road bike some more. Just 3 weeks until the Desert R.A.T.S 25, and 6 weeks until the Quad Rock 50. The season has begun!
