Summary: Other than a big run in the Grand Canyon (R2R2R), this was a very easy recovery week. There was a little soreness in my quads following the Canyon adventure, but that was gone by Thursday and on Saturday I felt descent through 3 hours of my 3 hr, 40 min long run. I had planned on doing 4 hrs, but was running short on time before work. I did crack the 1,000 mile mark for the year with that run though. Looking back at my totals for the past couple months, I realized I have not done much besides run. There has only been one day in the past 3 weeks that I got my skate skies out, and with just 2 weeks left in the season, I'm not sure how much more use they will get. My mind is focused on the desert (less than 3 weeks away!) and dry trails. Either way, I am starting to get some descent fitness and am excited to start getting into the high country in the coming months.
