Summary: After doing my first double of the season last weekend, I had a couple days of recovery (although it was on some varying terrain), and had planned on doing a long run on the Quad Rock course after getting to Ft Collins mid-week. Unfortunately (yet needed) a spring storm dropped a foot and a half of the white stuff and put an end to those plans. Instead I did a tempo on the roads with Nick Clark on Thursday, and then headed to Boulder, CO and did a moderate long run with an old buddy of mine, Trent Briney. With the double last weekend and the tempo/long run only a few days later, my legs were feeling it. Its always a sign of doing too much or not getting enough recovery when my right hip flexor / groin gets tight and that's what happened on Thursday. That's alright though, since I now have a week to rest up and get ready for the race next weekend. The Quad Rock 50 in Ft Collins.
