Summary: Backed my training off this week and have concluded that it was a wise choice. Throughout the week, I could feel my right hip flexor / groin whenever I ran fast. But it slowly improved by the end of the week and I even bagged my first two mountain summits of the year. By the weekend I was feeling much better and was able to put in a good 6 hour day on the trails with lots of vert and hiking. Getting onto the steep trails is definitely strengthening the legs. Feeling stronger and getting excited for the high country and peak bagging this summer. Next week should be back to normal volume wise.
